Data Processing Role: We act as a Data Processor for buyer/customer data on behalf of the merchant (Data Controller). We collect only the minimum data required to execute App operations.
Webhook Compliance: We support Shopify's mandatory data protection webhooks for data erasure and export, processing DSR requests automatically.

// 1. GENERAL INFORMATION

By installing and using our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any terms in this Privacy Policy, please uninstall the Apps immediately.

// 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To provide the functionality of our Apps, we may collect and process different types of personal information, depending on the specific App settings and the API scopes authorized by the merchant.

  • Merchant Information: When you install the App, we collect your Shopify store URL, account name, email address, physical mailing address, billing information, and access tokens provided by Shopify.
  • Customer Data: Depending on the specific services enabled by the App, we may access information about your customers, such as order history, checkout details, cart statuses, and basic contact details. We process this data strictly to deliver the App's services and under the instructions of the merchant.
  • Technical and Log Data: We automatically collect information transmitted by your server or browser, including IP addresses, browser configuration, device details, server logs, and App usage statistics to monitor performance and resolve errors.

// 3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the personal information collected through our Apps for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the App.
  • To process transactions, manage billing, and maintain financial records.
  • To offer technical support, troubleshoot bugs, and respond to merchant inquiries.
  • To monitor and analyze App usage patterns to improve performance, safety, and user experience.
  • To enforce our terms and comply with statutory legal obligations.

// 4. DATA SHARING AND TRANSFERS

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. We share information only with:

  • Shopify: The Shopify platform manages app integrations and billing. Data sharing with Shopify is required for the Apps to work.
  • Service Providers: We utilize reliable subprocessors (such as cloud hosting, databases, and logging platforms) to execute components of our service. These providers process data under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose data when legally required to do so in response to valid regulatory, court, or government demands.

// 5. SHOPIFY MANDATORY COMPLIANCE WEBHOOKS

Our Apps are fully integrated with Shopify's mandatory data protection webhooks. These integrations ensure that data subject requests are processed securely and automatically:

// customers/data_request When a customer requests access to their personal data, Shopify sends a webhook to our server. We compile and return any relevant customer data held by our App.
// customers/redact When a customer requests deletion of their personal data, Shopify sends a webhook. We immediately sanitize and permanently erase any matching customer records from our databases.
// shop/redact When a merchant uninstalls our App, Shopify notifies us. In compliance with Shopify guidelines, we erase all merchant and customer data associated with the store from our systems within 30 days.

// 6. DATA RETENTION AND DISPOSAL

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is mandated by law. When a store uninstalls our App, we proceed to automatically delete or anonymize all associated records within 30 days of receipt of the uninstall webhook.

// 7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on your location and applicable privacy regulations (such as GDPR and CCPA), you and your customers may have specific rights regarding personal data:

  • The right to request access to and receive details about the data we hold.
  • The right to request rectification, restriction, or erasure of personal information.
  • The right to object to the processing of personal data.
  • The right to request data portability.

Please note that since we process customer/buyer data on behalf of the merchant, any customer data subject requests should be submitted directly to the merchant (the Data Controller). We will assist merchants in responding to such requests in accordance with Shopify's requirements.

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. All communication with our systems is secured via encrypted HTTPS protocols, and data is stored in secure database environments with strict access controls.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted immediately on this page, with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our data handling practices.
